Another vote for Seagate. That's what came in my PM G5, and I added another recently with which I'm very pleased. Quiet...no problems.

I know we'll know for sure real soon, but I was just wondering if there's any expectation one way or the other regarding how likely the ipad2 will be jailbreak-able, either with the current apps or with current known but unused exploits.
Currently, there are no known ways to exploit/jailbreak the iPad 2, as the device hasn't come out yet.

Nice shot, would be nice if there were less clouds around the mountain as it covers a lot of it up and is distracting. Plus would use just a very slight increase in vibrancy just to make the colours pop a bit more. also slightly increase contrast through Levels... again only a touch. that's only from my personal point of view though. I have been watching the price of Apple stocks and they are down $20 from last week when I almost bought a single share. Glad I didn't though. If I get this job today or tomorrow I think I will buy one or two shares while it's sagging.

I'm sorry but this is still an illegal activity under the terms of the EULA that all users of the game agree to when they install the code.
Blizzard own the rights to the game, the code and the ideas behind the game where applicable, and that is what they are protecting.
For sure they want the player base to keep paying the fees for server access, but they put the money into the development, publishing and maintenance of the multitude of game servers, and they have the legal right to profit from their endeavors.
Whilst you may not agree that pirating a beta test client to run on a server is a big deal, Blizzard do and the law is on their side.
MacRumors cannot condone the promotion of illegal activities on these forums.

I don't think they will let you have the iPhone 3G S until 8am because that's what it says on Apple website. For 5th avenue store it is different, but for stores in malls are they going to change the mall hours to accommodate lines forming or will people only be allowed in at 8am? My mall doesn't open until later than 8am on Friday, does this mean my Apple Store won't be participating in the 8am opening and will simply open when the mall does?

I think only a few east coast stores ever had them, and you were required to activate in store to prevent re-selling.
Anyways, that doesn't apply at all to anyone international. eyemac, no don't worry about it :) I'd prefer to keep offers to PM just for privates sake but I will comment that I'm looking for a little more because I still lose a few dollars there, and I really don't want to lose any money. I'm seeing them go for $450-$550 on eBay so that would be optimal but I don't expect that here, of course.

I haven't checked, it may be possible to set it up so they can simply send an email to a single address and have it forwarded out by MailChimp or similar to all the address in the database. The form I put on the website is powered directly by MailChimp, though, which is why I showed it. The entries from that are sent directly to their servers.
It's just fairly complex to set this up manually, and I don't know all the steps (I've tried before, in fact).

I'm surprised this compiles (i.e. that you only get errors when linking). The line

must have thrown an error at you, since "inputusername" is not visible to functions outside the class.

Strange. SL works on all my stuff without ever crashing, including my Hackintosh.
Me too, it works on my hackintosh. Yet with that said, I'd say that SL was not one of apple's greatest OS upates. I did have more issues initially with this then prior versions and had to hold off longer because of those problems then other versions of OSX.
While its been clearly documented that apple did a lot of under the hood type stuff. SL offered very little for the consumer. i think apple knew this when thy priced it much less then prior versions. 25 bucks vs. 125.

I don't know if this is occurring here, but in many other instances of touting/scalping, people deliberately sabotage the auctions by putting in high fake bids - it's possible the highest of those isn't a genuine offer.

This happens from time to time with some of my e-mail accounts, too... It happens because the server is down, for whatever reason... I normally just hit 'escape' and let the account be offline for a while (you'll see a ~ symbol or a ! in a triangle next to the accounts inbox (and all folders on an IMAP account)). Then when you assume the server is back up you just hit the ~ and then 'check mail', and assuming you keep your password on the keychain you will not have to re-enter the password (if the server requests it, chances are it's still down, just try again a bit later). If the sign is the ! then you'll, get a 'go online' question...
